Converting what was built as an Hungarian Social Center in the early 1900¨s into 50 apartments and 15,000 SF of Retail offered many challenges. It began with excavating and underpinning to support three added floor, the removal, cleaning and reinstallation of the entire brick façade, and the addition of three floors to the top of the building. Although not Landmarked, the attention to detail and restoration resulted in a façade that is consistent with the architecture of the surrounding buildings of that period.
